The new release date is Mid June. I placed an order for a 1/16 e revo and two traxxas batteries. The initial release date for the battery was early May, now its mid June. I think it the release date for the mini erevo will also be moved.

Traxxas still states ''Available May 30th, 2009''

Mid June might be for the second batch?

I certainly hope it's not pushed back to mid June now. :(

just because they cant fulfill 100% of stock on or before release date doesn't mean it's pushed back.

I wonder where everybody getting some of this information? Traxxas should know when their own models are being released. It's still March 30th, according to their website. If that is when Traxxas ships them to the dealers, shops, and distributors, then I'd say a couple more weeks after, we should start seeing these things arrive.

it'll get pushed back like every other traxxas model. i don't think traxxas has made an actual release date yet

"I don't think Traxxas has made an actual release date yet."

Does posting a release date at the top of a product information page qualify as an 'actual' (what does that even mean? As opposed to a fake one?) release date? If so, then it appears Traxxas has declared an 'actual' release date.

it's already been pushed back a couple of times... but honestly, i'd rather them at a little longs to refine it and make sure they have stock than to release a sub-par product that is out of stock for months.

Delays happen all the time, with many hobbies. Not just the RC ones. By this time, if there are anymore delays, I'd guess it's not because of changes or further development to the model, but rather shipping delays. It probably takes the better part of a month, or more, to get a container full of mini Revos and Slashes, from over seas, to the USA coast. To delay the models because of quality issues now, would mean even bigger delays, because that would mean the models aren't even in a container yet. Traxxas likely has had the final production samples (approved) in their hands for quite some time.

i was referring to previous delays, not future

Pirates hijacked the Traxxas container ship. The minis will be available on the black market on schedule.

Well I am out. Just canceled my order. I had 2 on order since April 27th with tower. Hope that will move some of you guys up. Kind of felt deceived in this whole thing. I wanted something that my son and I could race and was looking forward to these, but now we just finished an Associated B44 build and am ordering another one.

Good luck to all.

LOL, release date is still 6 days away, and you canceled your order because you did not get your trucks BEFORE release date??

You're obviously VERY spoiled... try getting a video game or movie before release date, it wont happen, and if it does, the store that sold it to you gets in MAJOR trouble.

I stopped by my LHS today (Sunday). He called and they said it's still on track for a release date of the 30th. He said mine should come in around the 3rd.

I started to get one and decided to save up and go with the larger E-Revo brushless. Or if Traxxas decides to release a 1/10 E-Slayer brushless I will go with that.

axlebolt

Thats how they do it. A couple of days before the posted release date then they post a new date. Its a strategy. I'll add a bit more to my savings and go for the 1/10 erevo. ERBE!;)

Hopefully that's only new orders, not back orders.

And hopefully since tower is a DC they can get more and sooner

I know if they push the date back again i will cancel my order. I ordered mine when i was really excited about it on april 17th. Now i just tired of waiting and running out of expendable cash!

Patience, friend. How are you running out of exendable cash if you haven't purchased anything? The time gives you the opportunity to save, if nothing else.

'told you, there's a different release date. Its not May 30. Tower still doesn't have it. So what's the new date? Only traxxas knows.;)

They do they on purpose to "hype" the cars up. Getting more and more people to buy the car so they can get more sales. The longer they push it back the more people want it. But imo people some people get to the point in which the wait is too long and might aswell get something else.

Lets not rip on Traxxas.. They could be having issues with brushless parts or something

It is a Traxxas problem. They designed it, build it and set time lines. Now aren't suppling something they said they would. Pretty bad business if you ask me. They aren't even communicating with everyone on what is going on.

Glad I canceled my order.

me too, i am glad you cancelled your order, it bumps me up in line.

Seriously people, it's not the end of the world, it s a toy, not a lung. (ask people who are waiting for a lung what their release date is)

Shelby VNT

Wow. The release date is all just speculation at this point and people are getting bent out of shape over it. This why the internet can be a bad thing. Bad info travels so fast over it and people take it to seriously.

Did anyone stop to think that maybe Traxxas decided to switch the release date to June 09 because May 30th was practically June anyway? If the trucks arrived at Traxxas on the 30th, that was a Sunday. Who works on Sunday? It could very well take 2 weeks just to inventory and ship the trucks to shops and dealers. Another two weeks for customers to start receiving them. It's no wonder Traxxas would change the date to June 09.

Krazyrevo
06-02-2009, 12:58 AM
Really why did they switch it at the last minute. If it takes 2 weeks they should know whats going on by now they have been selling r/c stuff for a while and instead of stating a unrealistic date. Maybe they should try setting a deadline for themselves to actually have a car released on the first day they say they will. They should have just put available on the site instead they really have no idea whats going on!

Product delays happen, it's a fact of life and it occurs in the RC industry as it does outside it. There's a lot involved in getting a product released initially. Be patient.
