I definitely plan on buying one of these, my younger brother pre-ordered the 1/16 e-Revo a while ago and I figured I'd buy myself one to bash around with him. However, I can't decide which one I want.. Which brings up the question, are they even that different?

When I see pictures of them with the bodies off, it looks like their identical except for the tires. The e-revo has bulky monster truck tires and the slash has little tires that look better for hard-packed dirt. Is this the only difference? Or is one of them wider/sits up higher? Thanks!

The e revo is wider, its suspension arms are longer than the slash's. The bumpers are also different.

so couldn't i just get a slash and buy revo arms, tires and maybe bumpers and that would be the coverion kit?

If you look at the exploded view of each truck, you can compare which parts would be needed for a conversion.

I think you are correct. You also may need longer/Revo drive shafts.

you'd need longer a-arms (uper and lower) longer trans axels, longer push rods, and longer steering linkage

Pretty sure the gearing is also different. The Slayer (I mean Slash) has to compensate for the smaller tires. In order for it to hit the same 50mph, it would need to have a numerically lower final ratio then the E-Revo VXL.

See the last post here. I wrote up what the differences are. You would be surprised at what is different.
