It's crazy, and this motor is smaller than what will come stock on the brushless version!

You guys are going to love your trucks! :D

but for the rude people don't think they will like anything..

I think at this point we'll be happy to see any video, even a low quality one. If you have to, whip out your cell phone, record a short video, transfer it to your computer and post it on this forum. It's not too difficult. If you need help, just let any of us know. Trust me, even a low quality cell phone video will help stave off future negative remarks about your shameless, attention-getting behavior!

Nice...so you finally answered the call to make a video!

Just so you know, I don't care that you've posted numerous threads related to your new Traxxas 1/16th vehicle. Most of us here enjoy it; since we're so anxious to get our hands on one, the next best thing is to soak up every last detail from one of the first owners of these brand new vehicles. The few negative comments you've received are probably motivated by jealousy, envy, or boredom.

So, how about posting a video of your vehicle running with this new brushless 5400kv motor?

Ryan, thank you for your comment!

and tomorrow I will make another vid with my cheap camera running the 54ookv motor.. Possibly the same place, I think it gives the little truck some scale with the tiny weeds!

Nice work on the motor install. Looks like it should work well. Be curious to know the amp draw of that setup.

now that those who have been asking for a video have gotten one, any chance I can get an answer to the question I PM'd you a week and a day ago? I've never been very fond of being ignored, I know you've been online since I sent the message, and you've had the truck apart so you've had ample opportunity to get the steering knuckle measurement I requested. I hate to ask you to take apart your truck to get a measurement, but, well, pull a wheel off of it, take a metric caliper to the knuckle, and post the measurement up here for us. 3 minutes of your time, tops, unless you've lost the obligatory caliper or a wheel nut wrench

A bit harsh. Your question is a request, and he's under no obligation to answer it, is he? I wouldn't consider it being ignored so much as an indication that for one reason or another he simply hasn't found the time to do it. Just a thought...

What battery(ies) will you be running when you make the video, filmmaker?

well, a member on another forum has gotten the measurement for me. the knuckles are roughly 1.5" tall, which means that Tamiya M-chassis wheels MIGHT fit, with heavy emphasis on the might. but, if they do, that means that right off the bat, the pavement pounders among us have a pretty large selection of aftermarket wheel/tires to run.

Slp dog, I can't belive anyone would answer your question with the prickish way you asked and the attitude that you are entitled to an answer without so much as a please.

I agree. I have never been on a forum with so many rude people. We are supposed to be helping each other out. If you ask me this forum needs to be moderated better. The way people act on here gives traxxas a bad name.

Well I ran my Brushless conversion today and it works great..
I ran it for about 40min while filming, used a total of 2900mah in my lipo.
I used a 5000mah pack..

No not even close..
I use rubber bands to hold it to the top of the chassis, and to my surprise it took the extra weight well, and instant tire spin! :D

I'm looking to get a 1/16 revo and the 1/16 slash is probably similar in size, and I was just wondering how the size compares from the 1/16 to the 1/10. Is the 1/16 too small?

As far as i'm aware all it's all half the size roughly of the "1/10" scale versions.
What do you mean by is the 1/16 too small though?
I guess it depeands on what you consider to be too small and what you want to do with it

I would most likely be running it in grass and in the woods, so I want it to be able to handle those conditions, as well as on the pavement. I have also heard that small scale cars are harder to control, so I am wondering how these will be. I want to see one in action haha.

You should get the 1/10 revo then....the 1/16 revo/slash have much smaller tires and less ground clearance and that's the main factor in determining what kind of terrain a vehicle can handle.

No heat issues at all, and thats running it for about 40min straight!

I think the stock 380 brushless motor will have more power than the one I am using..

I got 32mph on 2s, I will gps this truck on 3s weds.

I thought about using a regular battery, and strapping it on top, it'll run for ever :)
