Happends with pretty much every new car traxxas releases. Id rather they just put a month later than they think it will be ready and then give people a nice surprise if by some miracle its not delayed rather than have to push it back.

it could be a marketing scheme to try to get more hype and get more people to buy in a rush when it is released. I know the 1/10 erevo there was a rush and you could not find it for a while until the second batch was shipped. But who knows just something to think about.

I can't imagine it would be delayed much longer unless there are some manufacturing issues with the brushless system. The brushed system is already out and shipping so everything is there and ready it seems. There really aren't many difference between the two trucks either so they are either delaying to make sure the brushless setup is just right or maybe trying to stock up for the big run on the trucks when everyone buys one.

I'm betting there is going to be a huge shortage. Those that preordered early will get a truck from the first shipment but no one else will do to the huge demand. Who knows when a second shipment would arrive, August??

Yesterday tower said order pending on some 1/16th parts and mid may on the revo 16th. Today those same parts say Mid May and the revo still says mid may as well.

Hi, Swedish distributor (minicars.se) says it will be available in Sweden as late as mid July.
So I think I'm going to import one from US, I'll have it quicker, and the price is lower then buying it from the LHS.

dont set yourself up for disappointment, just assume you'll get it when tower's site says "early june" then when/if it comes early you're happy.



I just checked mine and the status says "early jun" and based on the stock status explination page, that means that's when they expect to receive the stock... i just hope it arrives early to mid june, as it's my Father's day gift :)

Ahh, you guys are getting your underwear all in a knot for nothing. They'll be released soon enough. You'll still buy one. You know you will. It's to neat of a model to pass up, just because the release date got pushed back a little bit more. Good things come to those who wait. We go through this every single time a new model is released. Yes, everyone gets all hyped and excited about it, but delays happen. It takes a while to get a container full of Traxxas products to port. It's no biggie. When these little buggers are in our hands, the wait will be worth it. You'll see.

if i go to the 1/16 page through a search, but if i click it in my invoice it takes me to the same page, but the status is "order pending"

Oh i know i was gonna pull out my lipos and get them charged for this weekend guess i gotta wait 2 more weeks. I was really debating on emailing traxxas cause i did not want to hear that response! Oh well at least there releasing in the summer it could be dead of winter it sucks here in nebraska!

Well, I mostly hope that the charge to my credit card will be pushed back to the next statement, as that will delay my paying for the truck even further. Hehehe..

Other than that, I do wish they come out as soon as possible, but I'd rather then delay it a little and have no recalls than have it come out right away with a bunch of issues.

Big deal, I've been waiting on the Losi Comp Crawler for a few months now. Like some of have said on RCCrawler about the Losi, it's better they take a little more time and make it right than throw it out there and have problems from the get go than need to be fixed before you can get much use out of the thing.

I believe it was the same way when the Summit came out. The "general" page (the one you find in the search) gave an expected date but the pages for the specific channels all said "order pending".

that's the beauty of this truck, it doesn't matter if it's winter, we can still play... that's 90% of the reason i am buying this truck, we ahve snow here 5 months of the year, this way i can still play in the snow :)

If they shipped them out on the 14th, most retail stores would probably get them on Monday/Tuesday. So I'll keep hoping until Tuesday.... (I know, I'm in denial:( )

no I got the RHINO/***** 3 S 1550 packs I may get some 2S packs after some practicing with these packs... This is my first go at Lipos...I am gonna cut the connectors off and put the Traxxas plugs on them this week...then I will use the traxxas parallel harness i have ordered with the truck

advice, dont cut them, desolder them, then the ends are already tinned for you, and you don't shorten the wires.

I am new at soldering. Do you just heat it up with the soldering gun to re-melt the solder? I have done little soldering in my time. I can do it. Just not pretty sometimes!! Thanks

milkman: make sure you do one wire at a time so they don't have a chance to touch each other and short out. i do mean this literally: desolder one wire, solder it to traxxas contact, push contact into housing so it is insulated, desolder other wire...
