Why would you want dual servos?

quicker turning? i dont know about the mini slash yet but with my mini t i changes the servo to a hs-85 and it turns on a dime. if you turn to fast it just flips the truck.

Just get a better single servo...

you would want to keep it waterproof though.

There is a extra space on the opposite side of where the servo is... could that be for that extra servo or maybe you could make another servo shift gears or even maybe diff lockers.

Another 2080 servo and the steering link... You have two connectors for CH1 on the receiver... I'm planning to do that when I get my E-Revo...

I would guess that's all you have to do to convert it, but it is a light truck, and I don't see why you need two to turn this thing. That's just me though.

Yep! and if someone wants they can just add a better servo and waterproof it them selves... :D

I'd really keep it at 1. Save any weight thats possible. You'll lose that much more run time then you will to start with and the truck probably turns GREAT! with the one steering servo!

Some people just want to keep the models with factory parts accessories, like me.
I would bet that a Traxxas waterproof servo is mile ahead of any self made waterproof servo out there. :)

this is a tinkering hobby. keeping things stock and not fabing your own parts would get really boring really fast.

Well for me I like to keep my RTR models stock for the first few months (I like driving the model as the manufacturer designed it & using factory accessories.) after I purchase them and have use it thoroughly before I add any aftermarket parts to my model. The only thing I would change to a brand new RTR is converting it from nitro to Electric. :)
Theirs noting wrong with fabricating your own parts when one has the proper equipment to make a good looking part. But if one doesn’t have the proper equipment to make ones own parts then usually the self made part looks like rubbish.

He doesn't need the Y adapter... The receiver has two CH1 connectors...

yeah that is for the other servo but yould you need a different steering linkage?

Look easy: http://www.traxxas.com/products/electric/velineon/1_16th_intro/intro9.htm
All that is needed:
another servo
and the two links.
It looks like from the link, Traxxas made it easy to convert to dual servos.

If it's the same waterproof digital servo that comes in the erevo then one should be plenty strong for the mini revo. I doubt it will struggle at all to turn the wheels lock to lock sitting still.... which is the way I like it.

No it is a smaller servo, the regular digital servos have 125oz each total= 250oz, the mini comes with one with 42oz so if you put in 2 it would have 84oz of torque.

Seriously. If one 42oz servo is good enough for stock. The you won't have to go crazy at all for a minor upgrade. Unlike my HiTec 7955tg for the full size Revo.
I already have my eye on a few digital mini servos that will bring the torque up into the 60oz. range.

good to know...... That probably will struggle a little then. When you say smaller do you mean they are not a standard size servo or just that they are weaker? I have the two servos out of my erevo sitting here I so I could use one of them if it takes a standard size servo.

It takes a mini sized servo like the mini t does. my mini t servo sucked and i changed it to a hs-85 and it would turn on a dime! it was so touchy that if you werent use to it it would roll. I think the slash will be the same way and turn like crap. I thnk traxxas also knew this and made it very very easy to set up a dual sevo.

The WP Servo in my slash got knocked out by snow... That's pretty lame in my book...

duel = a prearranged combat between two persons, fought with deadly weapons according to an accepted code of procedure, esp. to settle a private quarrel.
dual = composed or consisting of two people, items, parts, etc., together; twofold; double: dual ownership; dual controls on a plane.

I remember when I got the original Revo with 160oz of torque total. It was a lot, but it could use more. Now I run a 333oz servo in my full size GorillaMaxx G2R and that turns the wheels with ease. Overkill really.
As for the little E-Revo, there is a reason that it is dual servo ready - because it was probably designed to have two. However, I'm sure they didn't include the second one to cut down on costs.
Some people might just get 1 single powerful one. I would normally do the same, but this is one truck I where I want to keep the water-resistant nature, so I will likely see how it is stock, and get a second Traxxas servo if I feel it needs it.
