Mini slash- whats gonna be the first...

Well guys. Its been years since I set around on this forum for hours reading about my t-maxx pro 15. Although I am back. I have a mini-t with a mamba 8000kv kit on it and soon as soon as traxxas releases the slash vxl i'll have you of them also.

So whats the first crazy mod were going to set out to do? speed record?

I'm already brain storming. I think we should fab up a graphite chassis and a motor mount to were we can either hook up a mamba monster (estimated at about 5-6hp) or a 10 scale vxl kit brushless kit if they release a water proof one soon or maybe even a dual motor set up (18th scale brushless vxl(so its water proof))

I really think we should keep it water proof because the whole concept is pretty ****** but crazy power is what we need to go for.

ps-Nice to be back to the traxxas world. They are top of the line and the customer service is amazing. Plus you guys come up with some crazy projects.

Also guys do any of you know when the actually release date is. I first heard begaining of april, then the end, and now I hear may 14th or somthing.

is the kit they release on that date going to be brushless or is it goign to be a brushed version with the brushless coming soon after.

the minis are not kits. fully RTR except radio batteries. both minis are brushless.

yea, cept he amsoil stock one which I believe is still going to be available???........

yea i know there going to be rtr. This hobby isb't about buying a car and driving it till you break it and then replace that part with a stock replacement part. I hobby is for people who like to tinker and fab up stuff. I bet money that within the first 2 week someone will have a duel motor set up. Although i would like to push the limits and put a mamba monster kit on one.

well im going to get one of them for my birthday and buy the other one on my own. i'llprobally put a MMM 2650 or 2200 in the erevo with a custum made motor mount that i'll make and then make another duel motor mount and put the 2 mini VXL's in the mini slash. at least this is what im hoping on doing.

you from what i hear though if we run 2 18th motors we'll have to run 2 speed controlers.
