as we all know the summit uses a 4 ch. radio, these ground systems in 2.4 are expensive,i am considering using a FASST 6EX 6 ch radio and reciever, just wondering if anyone else is using this set up,the system is designed as a heli, airplane, but you can pick one up on e-bay for 100-150.

the stick option of 6 ch isn't a bad idea, just make sure you have descrete channels. Because each stick has 2 axis which means you loose two channels. And some controls are for mixing channels and not really extra. Read the manual to be sure.
So far the only pistol type I've seen are KO Propo, Nomadio, Futaba, Traxxas, and Airtronics. Someone else has the KO Propo and like it a lot for Summit duty.

There is a thread on the Revo forum on how to convert the Traxxas 2 channel 2.4gHz transmitter to a 4 channel. The Traxxas receiver is already 4 channel, so if you aren't afraid of soldering, this may be worth checking out -> http://monster.traxxas.com/showthread.php?t=465950
