Anyone know of any new bodies coming out?

I wouldn't count on it any time soon. Companies like Pro-Line, Parma, and JConcepts need months to design something better looking and more durable than what's already there so I would say keep your eyes open in about 3 or 4 months maybe.

ryan proline had bodies for the slash out quickly. all they have to do for the summit is enlarge crawler bodies. i am guessing in the next month or two proline will have a body announced.

is there a reason why you couldnt use e-revo body mounts and mount an e-revo body?? looks like it would lower the center of gravity a bit more

racer what would be the point of getting a summit to lower the COG? if you plan on turning the truck into an e-revo just get rid of the summit and but an e-revo.

the body on the summit is very tall... if it was shorter and/or lighter it would help keep the summit on its wheels in the rocks. I feel like Im constantly turning the summit back onto its wheels... Im going to remove the exo cage today and see if it makes a difference

And surprisingly, I prefer running the Exo cage without the body...

sorry bout the photo quality, they are cell phone pics...
Anyways, I think im going to runit with the exo cage only, I think it looks good, it provides protection AND you dont need to remove it to install/remove batteries.

It looks really cool with just the cage.

Slap some clear lexan on there and you got yourself a tuber mister. I say give it a hood and some door panels and you should be good to go. Maybe some rear quarter panels too, but that is up to you.

isn't the exo cage weaker without the body under it?

Wow,I like the look of just the exo I might have to do that with mine and fab some aluminum panels up for it, hood, side panels etc.... But ya I bought a Pro-line 80 Chev Blazer body to see how it looks, I'll post some pics when I get the body. From rolling it over already I would say that the cage makes up most of the body strength.

of course it is..
but this truck is not fast..
I have yet to crash it at a high speed.. I always roll it at lower speeds where I dont think it needs to be that high strength...
Time will tell

You should get some clear lexan sheets from parma and make panels for it like mentioned before. That's what I did for my six-wheeler. It's kind of tedious work, but I think it looks neat.

Slamming the body over the chassis can make a huge difference in the stability of a truck. I've found that it didn't make a difference if it was my Pede, E-Revo, or my crawlers, just getting the shell as close to the chassis as possible improves things. In an off road truck, if you can keep the weight lower on the structure, the more stable it is in off camber situations and crawlers tend to get in really off camber situations more often than stadium and monster trucks do.
