This might have been covered already but I can't find it anywhere. I want to install a LiPo cutoff on my summit. How do I need to do it having two batteries.
Do I get a 4 cell cutoff and wire it for both or just a 2 cell cutoff and put it on one. I really don't want 2 cutoffs if I don't have to.. I am kinda a noob to this LiPo thing.
The more details about how to install it the better. If there is another post about this please point me to it.

See this post (http://monster.traxxas.com/showpost.php?p=3607244&postcount=72) in the E-revo FAQ

so does the summit work the same as the e-revo? where the one battery powers the motor and the servos? and the other motor just powers the motor?

Yes. The stock speed control on both is the EVX-2.

so i still just plug one battery in, and see if the servos work, right?

most likely, but on my boat which has an evx-2 doesn't work on just one battery. there was another thread and it said that the summit can work on one battery but it isn't good for it.

i meant one battery powers the motor and the servos so that one would drain faster than the battery that powers the motor only.. Still planned on running dual batteries.

oh, i guess i didn't fully understand what you said.
i'm not sure that it works exactly like that. they both wire up to the evx-2 but then an equal amount of power is put out to both the servos and the motor.

ya, that is what i was wondering because the e-revo doesn't work like that. one powers the servo/motor, the other just the motor.
