Summit on track for 1/30 release date? [Archive]

Hey Summit fellas! Chachi_RC here from over on the ERBE (E-Revo Brushless Edition) page. I just want to find what you guys are hearing on the release of the Summit and if they are sticking to the 1/30/09 release date. I am curious to see if they are on track, because us ERBE buyers have already gone through a delay from a 1/16/09 release date to now having a 2/16/09 release date. I just wanted to find out what you all are hearing on the Summit and if they are on track. I figure if they are on time with the Summit, that we will see the EREB out on 2/16/09. According to Traxxas customer support it will begin shipping out to dealers on 1/30. This information is from a couple of hours ago.

yea I just got an e-mail from a store I do business with and they told me they will have them on friday. (only getting 4)

All three of my LHS's received an e-mail indicating that the Summit is not being released by Traxxas until Feb 16th. Hopefully they were referring to the ERBE by mistake, but I doubt they all three separately made the same mistake.

The E-Revo Brushless Edition is going to be released on February 16th, Summit, Tomorrow (January 30th)

My local Hobbytown says they will be receiving them on Monday or Tuesday, they already show them as being shipped and on their way, hopefully they are right...

open your eyes. it is still there. anyways guys. some of the shiops might be tellnig you when they expect to have them in stock. chances are the bigger shops are getting the trucks first while smaller shops have to wait.

Maybe it renders a different page for you, but when I go there (http://traxxas.com/)this is no Summit banner anymore.

It isn't on the home page I load either, but it doesn't mean it isn't coming out. The product page still shows 1/30 for it, and no change on what I am after....the ERBE. Still 2/16 for that.:(

I wasn't implying that it means it isn't coming out. I just thought it was strange for them to remove their brand new truck off of their main page a day or so before it's (supposed) release.

Just called my LHS...their distributor isn't even showing an ETA now. :( They said Traxxas just sent out an email too, but no mention was made of the Summit.

Anyone have a chance to call Traxxas today?

Scratch that, just called. Traxxas customer service said they have already shipped out on their end and distributors should have them by today. Hopefully for me putting it into the hands of my LHS by next week and me by the weekend. :wub: Oh well, I can wait another 7 days. More time to work on my Axial rigs.

Thanks for calling. Hopefully there will be no hiccups during distribution.
My batteries should arrive Tuesday, so it would be really cool to get the Summit by the 10th...my birthday. :)

Hey Koko, did they mention anything new about the ERBE? Just curious, and keeping an eye on the Summit to possibly give me a sense that the ERBE is on track.

As of Friday the 30th, some shops had received and were already selling their first shipment of Summits. You'll see more supply on the store shelves as the week continues.

Dude, I seriously thought you were on crack until I loaded the page today and the Summit banner was gone. I found out that by reloading the page it alternates between the E-Revo brushless and the Summit.

Cool! will the mini E-Revo be BL? Waterproof? What batteries, how many, series or parallel? How fast? 4wd? I know it is a long list of questions, but I know it will be awesome just like the summit! I hope you can answer some of these!

Oh, and I think it is so cool that actual employees get on here and post!
