Just what the title says: The review is in the March 09 magazine. Pretty lengthy review with alot of 411 and cool pictures. The test section covers a variety of terrain from rocks to track and several in between.

What's the overall impression?
I just started a subscription and I don't know if I'll get the March issue or not...
Thank you Tower for my 3 month subscription. Can't wait for the issue.

Looks like I will need to go and pick up that issue. I am all about the Summit. I think it is the perfect RC vehicle for me. Bash, Smash, Crawl and "Speed".
Wanna know something funny, like two weeks before the Summit was released I was talking with some of my other RC buddies and I told them that I wanted to make a two speed crawler/basher/scaler. Something that could do both., and look cool doing it. I wasn't sure if I would go solid axle or not and we were going to use the E-Maxx as the base, as their was a spare one getting no love that would be the guinea pig.
Then BAM, I went to the Traxxas website and there it was. The Summit. Everything that I was looking for. All in one.

the review seems to be pretty honest and fair. they mention that the truck in sotkc form isnt really good on a track. but they say that if you do some work to it the truck has the potential.

I think the review is basically what we have all come up with. Its not the absolute best at one thing. Nor is it the fastest thing alive. If you want one truck that can do a little and then some of alot this is the truck for you.
One thing I don't recall is talk about price. All in all quite a few pages in there and a pretty positive review.

I got that issue and looked at it yesterday day and that is one long reviews of it, not to mention it also being on the front page. I think that it is getting a lot of hype!

I didn't even find it at my LHS, but it is only 20 Jan. I know it will be coming soon, I just need to stay patient.
Man, I hate patience.

I received my copy today.Like what was said lots of pictures and info on the truck is very good.I was not sure if I was going to add one to the stable but after reading the article I have changed my mind.I already have a buyer for my"other" truck.I am glad I can keep my trucks all Traxxas. This is gonna be fun.

From what they said I think this truck will surprise a lot of people. Even the 'crawler' folks. The people I think who will be the most disapointed will be the ones who want nothing but pure speed. You know, the guys who shoot videos of their stuff driving in straight lines up and down the street. yawn..... After reading the review I'd say the Summit will be worth the $515 (or so) price tag. I will get one later this year. I was going to go with the E-Revo but I like what this truck brings to the table. I will settle for a 1/16 E-Revo.
Came in the mail yesterday for me as well and I read it before bed. I agree with Redman65...those looking for speed will be disappointed. The article also said use 6 or 7 cell Nimh batteries. No mention of lipo's. Hopefully they can still be used. Can't wait to get mine.

After reading it again.Topic about shifting the trans, locking hubs. They say to do it when the truck is moving slowly. Not stopped it will over stress the servos. Also Locking the hubs is to be done while the truck is moving slowly only.I hope everyone reads the manual before running this unreal truck,so no damage happens. I for one can't wait for the truck to be released. This is gonna be fun. Can't wait for all the reviews, pics to start flooding th forum. :)
