When I was bashing the other day, my deans kept coming unplugged. I kept thinking something was seriously wrong, this never happened with my e-maxx.

I've only had one problem. My ESC was held to the chassis with dual lock velcro and it came loose in a nasty jump gone bad. The ESC pulled the plug apart. Otherwise the plugs are solid.

i assume the deans are the connectors your motor wires connect to into on the esc? me and some buddies all have a rustler vxl and stampeed vxl. we all have had troubles with the connectors (deans ?) in the vxl-3s coming loose/out of the esc. we have sent a couple back to traxxas and they did replace them but this last time they wouldnt. are the mmm's any better and can the vxl-3s be swapped out for the mmm?

Deans is the brand/style of connector. The Traxxas connectors are different. The Traxxas ones seem to be nice and tight for me.

Are they real deans?Alot of the budget lipos put Deans type connector,or if you order them from the bay.I got some and they were horrible.Deans ultra tend to do me right. They also do wear out.

I read somewhere on this site or some other one, to put hotglue on the deans connectots to prevent them coming loose.

+1 on just rocking the traxxas plugs over deans. a lot easier to solder and idiot proof to :)

Typically when deans don't stay together its because 1 is a real deans and the other is a "deans like" plug. ***** plugs are junk they are 'deans like' plugs and will fall off all day long, I usually swap them out w/ real deans the day they arrive. Its not that those plugs are bad but you just need all the same equipment...

Can't you tell by the color of the plugs as well. Ive purchased preassembled nimh packs in the past that were faded pink as compared to my deans which are normal red.
