With the Slash having the same wheels as the Slayer does anyone know if the Associated SC8 tires would work on the wheel. They look like they they hook up better on dry loose dirt compared to stock tires. Looking at the measurements the SC8 tires are slightly taller and slightly wider but I cant find and wheel dimensions for the Traxxas or the Associated.

Without referencing the SC8 I assume you would need the same hex adapter required to run 1/8 buggy wheels. Check to see if it uses the same hexes as the RC8 and RC8T...

i have a set of buggy wheels on my slash and they are to narrow. If you can find a wheel that has the deep offset then it should work. I don't think the RC8 will work because of the offset

Sorry, Im not interested with the wheels and tires, just tires. Not sure if they could mount onto the Slash/Slayer wheels.

oh :) apparently I dont read thoroughly enough. Do you have the o.g. slash wheels or the new slash wheels with differnet inner diameter? AE doesn't appear to make any reference to wheel size on thier website, but I would hope it is 2.2, or else they are a bunch of silly gooses. IF you have the original 2.2 slash wheels, and IF the SC8 utilzes 2.2 wheels, then I would say sure they should fit .... I think :) If you've got the newer slash wheels you're proabably out of luck.

I do have the new wheels, but from what I can tell from pictures in the dec 2008 issue of Xtreme RC Cars they have a picture of the wheels and it has a different inner/outer diameter just like the Slash/Slayer.

i wondering about that when i was reading that acrticle out it... i got the "origional" slash wheels so i think that they would hook up on dirt a bit better than the slashes

The wheels on the SC8 are buggy wheels and have a larger inner diameter then the outside, to compensate for the 4wd. I hope the fit on the slayer wheels, becuase I have a newer slash with the slayer wheels on it. But I think the SC8 wheels are beadlocks.
