well, as many of you know, i havn't really been posting here too much anymore.. other interests have been taking up a considerable ammount of my time (long travel truck...) soo i logged on and whalah! i was searching the pages and realized how much stronger those driveshafts look and how much more articulation you could possibly get...

like i said, ive been away and looked for this already and found nothing so sorry if anyone started this already :X

Looks sweet, it said industry first drive shaft in a drive shaft (lightly paraphrased, lol) so ya, I bet they are gonna be strong, probably not super low mass though.

Yes, they are the same shaft just a different joint set up.

Yea I cant wait to get some of those CV shafts on my E-Revo. I have the all steel one right now and they allways break! Their drive cup design was preaty bad...
Finally I can have a constant angular velocity!:)

That's gonna be huge and will be abble to stand the brushless setup...just need a way to water proof the battery and motor to keep it usable in wet conditions!

Those axles DO look VERY strong. Might have to upgrade on my E-Revo:D

nothing a little thread locker won't fix ;) Make sure you have the set screwtight with thread locker added and should be a non issue.

A flat spot on the cross pin can prevent the pin falling out :)

When I was at the iHobby Expo, I believe a Traxxas employee told me the drive shafts were different lengths between the left and right side...

If you loook at the picture LINK (http://www.traxxas.com/products/electric/summit5610/gallery/5610-front-on.jpg), it looks like the driver's side shaft is smaller than the passenger side.......

Just my observation though.

Why would they do that? And I think it is the way the shadows are hitting the truck, that makes it look like one side is bigger than the other.

Look at the diff .... ;)
itīs to compensate for the diff lock on the drivers side :)
