I was really looking forward to a solid axle design. I have to say I'm disappointed even though it is quite cool.

you know , I have been reading trough this forum ever seance it started , and I really find it hard to believe some of the comments on a product that so few have even seen and none have driven , personally , I really like the truck , I can't afford it , but would really like to have one .... but with everything that has been done with other Traxxas trucks , why couldn't you mod it to a true Crawler , but why , this thing is starting a new class just like the slash has done across the country , personally I'm sick of the negative things being said about probably the next truck of the year , so , make yourself your own frame , use the locking diffs and 2 speed transfer case on some Popsicle stick axles and make your own crawler , sorry , yes Traxxas used parts from another truck , but when have they not , youall have been running them for years , .............. so , why don't everybody get a grip and wait for the truck before you start running your fingers about something you don't even know about , sorry tired of the loose talk

It's a monster truck ...not a racer like e-revo as you can see from the summit photos next to a e-revo the summit can ride right over the e-revo no problem...summit = FUN A can do anything type of vehicle

If everybody just sat and waited for the truck to be released before voicing opinions what fun would the forums be???
The Summit is a revamped E Revo, disappointing to me. I wanted a solid axle, large scale crawler. I did not get it, I am disappointed and want you all to know about it. Is Summit cool, sure. Am I excited about it, not right now but maybe when I see it for real. What does all this mean to you, nothing. It's just fun sharing my thoughts with fellow RCers. And I think we all know Traxxas is the best...:)

I disagree, the Axial is a totally different class. It's like comparing an orange to a banana.

Both are truck, but that;s roughly where the relative features end

Yeah I know what you mean, but what I am trying to say is that its not built for crawling only, the axial rock racer is faster than the normal ax10 and came without the locker for the front axle installed but included it. Im not trying to say that they will be run in a class together or anything, im trying to say both trucks were designed not specifically for rock crawling but with the ability to do so while being useful in other respects as well

At first I was dissapointed as well, but after I saw all the new features, and the crazy awesome innovation that went into it, I fell in love. :) Besides, if you read the description they don't even try to sell it off as a rock crawler, so its not like they are ignorantly selling a independent suspension rock crawler. Looks like an awesome truck to me, and if I ever even had that muhc money, I would by one in a heart beat.

it looks awesome and as others said, its not in he same calss as an axial. and besides its wayyy better. first ofall it will have more top speed (presumably) which makes it a basher too. also it has more accessories and features whcich make it a great candidate to tune, mod, and make it unique. i see it as a truck that can just do a bit of everything. and really impress people while doing it.
