View Full Version : I finally broke it

Well today I put the 'Bash' in Bashing. I was really hard on the Slayer today. There is a jump at my track that was 'modified' by someone. Someone built up the top of the jump too much. When you would hit you would 9 times out of 10 land hard on the nose and tumble end over end. I was just trying to master the jump but in the end realized it was futile. Anyways, the truck did very well considering the beating it took. I brought it home and pulled the engine in preparation to clean it when I noticed a small crack in the engine mount. I pulled on it a little and it broke. I have a new one set aside at my LHS and will pick it up tomorrow. I just wanted to share this.

The first wound! You pay to play and they make parts everyday. That's what I tell everyone that asks me about these vehicles. :)

i was bashing the other day and it took several 12-15 foot jumps in stride till the suspension pivot broke. the pivot that the shocks/suspension rods got to. the wheel was up in the body and even though it broke i still drove it like dennis anderson does and jump it 6 more times at 12-15 ft high till the spurr gear went south..........if ya aint breakin then you aint bashin hard enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had bought a Slayer and after braking the engine in, I hit a huge ramp and smashed the Engine Mount into 3 pieces and broke off the Antenna mount. I have a mount coming to me but I still need to replace the antenna mount :( .

Far from wanting to break it. I have a RD Logics SHO and I read these forums a lot and thought it could handle it. But the track was indoor and when I hit the jump, it drifted a little and landed wrong. It was quite a tumbler but atleast it landed on it's wheels. Just the engine was dislodged from the transmission so it didn't move :(
