So my titan went out on me and I got a trinity 27 turn.I run this on the box stock gearing and a 4500 mah lipo. When I run it the motor gets very, very hot.I did a water test with a dropper on the can and it sizzled like a frying pan.I thought I could help the motor by installing a heatsink but its still scorching hot and I can literally smell the motor burning. This will be the second stock motor in my slash to do this.Could the gear ratio be the problem? There is no binding in the trans at all and everything runs smooth through out the whole truck.

That motor probably has 24 degrees of advanced timing. You will need a 15-tooth pinion gear to keep the temps down in bashing situations.
