Ok. Well I have to say something here. I took this screen shot of mac8175's picture and this is why I don't like Vista.

It's using about 80%-85% CPU on one widget
64% on another and 74% on another.
also it is using 64% of his ram.

All that to run Microsoft Live and IE. Wow.

rocky i still say mine is cleaner. only got 3 icons on desktop. and can get my taskbar down to 4 items. if i could get rid of the stupid remove hardware icon and the windows security center icon it would be only 5 icons on screen. and i dont like the look of that dock thing. oh and i have kept my desktop clean of all other icons for years.

It only looks that way. Idle RAM is wasted RAM! It's just being efficient - it's no more RAM-intensive than XP, but it caches things for future use, essentially trying to guess your next move based on previous ones to speed processes. The instant the RAM is needed, it is overwritten.
Bits of the OS are also stored in memory (in such a way that a RAM failure won't crash the OS - kinda like a solid-state RAID 1 setup for that purpose). You can check this out physicially - unplugging a SATA drive in XP will freeze or bluescreen the system, but Vista will chug along for a long while until you do something drastic.
For example, with MATLAB R2008a, Firefox, Excel, and MirandaIM open at the moment, I'm using 0-2% CPU and 46% of 8GB (CPU bumps to ~20% when code is compiling). Less than 1.3GB of that RAM is actively being used, the rest of it is just cached material that Vista expects me to pull up (iTunes, LaTeX, Word or such). On weekends it is more likely to keep Steam in cache, weekdays more likely to keep Autodesk stuff (supposedly). Pretty cool.

Yeah I love it. Mostly what I like to do is mess around with the vehicles and do stuff like fly an airplane straight up above the clouds then jump out of it. As the plane and me fall I try to get my guy close to the falling plane and get back in it without using a parachute! :eek: Yes I've had several failing attempts trying to pull it off. I guess that's why my guy's always screaming while he's falling. :lol:

It should be out by June. It won't really be a full blown OS though, it'll just have minor speed and reliability fixes. It'll only run on Intel based machines so the old school PPC guys will be out of luck. It'll be marketed as a "non-essential upgrade", meaning it won't be mandatory, and there is some speculation that it will even be free...

its honda's version of a supercar. only a small amount were made and you don't see them very often. there is a grey one running around Chapel Hill, NC though that i see every now and then. it's called a nsx.

It is a Honda NSX. Acura also made one and it was the same car. Not many in the states.

It was originally the Honda NSX released in Japan, but it got rebadged and retreated as an Acura here in the states. Honda just did a new concept on the old chassis called the RR, which is a beautiful car, one of the nicest I have ever seen.

That car is actually a Honda/Acura NSX Type-R GT. Honda built it to homologate some aero bits for racing in the JGTC series. Like the roof scoop, which on the streetcar, is non-functional. There are a few "regular" NSXs around here, they are pretty sweet, very eye-catching. For a Honda, that is.

Thanks, the bike is a 1340 cc. It's got a Hayabusa motor. Mine is a 2008 model, the only year they were available here. Can you say "collector's item", lol.

They have been for many years. I have a 1979 Kawasaki that has a 1000cc motor, and they were making them before that. :)
