This being my first r/c car in 20 years, I had a quick question. Can you just order the tires for the Slayer? I have only seen the tires that come with the wheels on Tower (and they aren't even available yet). If you could just order the tires is it easy to install them on the old wheels. I know they use CA on the tires which might make it a bit messy to reuse the wheels.

You can get the wheels in stock at many local Hobby People Stores ( I seen them )
They should be avalable at most stores by now.
Watch out tho... The First Slash Tires were Different then the slayer. The Slayer Stock #s are same.. the newer slash uses the Slayer Tires now.

Checkmate: The tires have always been the same just different wheels. Tires are made of rubber and wheels are made of plastic. Tires are on the outside wheels are on the inside.

I think we must wait until famous tire/body brands offer different wheels/tires and bodies for our Slayers. Take in mind it's a very young model yet.
