Do you have to take the top a arm off to take the ez start off or is there a way to do it with the a arm on?

Its easier to take out the engine then take off the easy start. Either take the four bolts out that hold the engine to the mount (you dont have too set the mesh if you do it this way,but its also harder to get the four screws back in) or you can take the two gear mesh screws out along with the screw for the throttle bellcrank, this way is the easiest but it you dont like setting gear mesh I advise doing it the other way I mentioned.

Why do you want to remove the EZ start?

It is nice but I want to get into racing with it so I need to shave some weight although if its a Slayer spec race would you have to use the ez start?

If its the same as the revo you can take the bolt out that goes through the rod on the rocker to let the a arm drop down more, i do this all the time at the shop i work at.
