In case you guys are still not able to track a Slayer down. I just left PCH Hobbies in Lomita and they had 7 of them rusting on the shelves. Man, I've waited this long for it to come out, got the $$ in my pocket and it looks the same as my $185 Slash! www.pchhobbies.com

So I couldn't pull the trigger........... I know it's not the same truck, but I think spending a hundred extra bucks and getting a Plat. REVO might be the call??

Any Slayer owners that I'm being an idiot, please chime in and convince me otherwise. I'm a big boy, I can take some bashing.^_^

I'm with you! We actually discussed this issue for days prior to the Slayer's release, because people were buying newer Slashes in which the bodies were different than the first batch of two. So people were speculating that the body change, alebeit minor, was so the same body could be used on both the Slash and the Slayer --- and I kept saying, "ain't no way, traxxas is smarter than that. The last thing they'd want than to have two trucks sitting side-by-side on the shelf that looked the same yet varied so greatly not only in innerworkings but in price - it would be stupid. And it would cause nont only confusion for the uninformed, but disdain amoungst those that knew the difference."

How wrong I was, at least in the fact that the body's being shared. I still think it's a mistake..... but that's just me.

Yep thats the place, you live in the area I take it and I'm sure you frequent the shop? I picked up a clear Slash body instead of the Slayer today, saved a few bucks but I'm getting the nitro itch again................
