Talk to Forbes He'll be able to help you amazingly. I swear that guy is Traxxas God or somthing, but like I said if he can't help you, You are VERY VERY bad off, anyways from the little I do know is that, the main drive shaft gears will grind away with time so that could be the problem, but like I said I dont know a whole lot about the trannys, Im dating back to my T-maxx 3.3 Trans which I had nothing but problems with (Sorry Traxxas its true, but all my other Traxxas trans. have been bullet proof). My Jato isnt even a month old yet. :-)

wow I know what spares Im adding to my pit box lol Its shouldnt be to hard of a fix.
Look at it as a plus you get to have a little personal 1 on 1 wrenching time with your Jato.

traxxas has exploded views online that will help u put it back together correctly.
and while its apart consider redoing the diff.possibly

Edgar87: Happened to me to after only about 1/2 gallon. I cracked my second gear and it sent smaller pieces of broken gear all over the tranny which in turn caused these pieces to lodge and shred my diff. It will be an easy rebuild for you. Follow your exploded views, and be sure to use a dab of wheel bearing grease on your gears when you reassemble. You propably blew second without knowing it and it caused you to go down from there. People say that if you go to a single speed you have far less issues. Not sure as I still use and love my two speed!
