Well I started out dead set on just converting one from stock and sell off the parts like I did w/ my erevo (using the 3905 tranny). Then my converted e-revo took a dump... so instead of ordering a new chassis and converting again, I just did the smart thing and bought a new e-revo :) Pulled all my hopups and switched it all out... pretty awesome e-revo (Neu 1.5d, MMM, MA 8k lipos).

So now that I had a hole spare truck I figured why not do something with it.. I was going to snag a 2.5 chassis and buy the slayer body, bumpers, drive shafts & a-arms when released.. but then after looking at the differences in the wheel base of the slash @ 13.2" and the Slayer at 12.7" on the 2.5 chassis I thought to myself.. hmm That is almost a full inch under the body anyway.. why not just use the e-revo chassis :) Tower had them in stock so I ordered up.. anway the e-revo chassis is 17" vs the 15.5 of the slayer, but I already know the cover will be fine with a 1" offset (slash) and with the slash you can see there is a bit more room under there by simply eliminating the HUGE rear bumper and move the body around a touch it will line up perfectly... simple I know.. but my very own e-slayer will be born soon. I think the part that will end up holding me up the longest is my Medusa v2 60 2000kv motor that is on back order (week or two). At any rate.. I will update w/ shots as I get er done! As it stands the chassis bulks are done and ready so now I just need to get my short list of goodies of slayer parts (arms, drive shafts, push rods, turnbuckles, wheels and of course the body. With those little tires this thing should haul around like a little buggy on the track.. I'm very excited we'll see how she turns out.. I guess I should keep my spare revo a-arms until I decide if I like it or not though LOL

Got my motor mounts yesterday, got my slash nurf side brackets today... should be getting my slash body tomorrow and the rest of the ervo chassis parts (battery doors etc). Then I will just be paitiently waiting for the release of the suspension parts and my back ordered medusa v2 60/2k motor and "new" v2 MMM. I will be starting w/ a set of 1/8 buggy moabs on white dish rims, not exactly the stock corr look but close enough until I snag some slayer tires when the prices drop a week or two after release.

Funny thing is nobody has parts even listed yet.. but I was looking at the drive shafts and they are just cut off shafts which I could easily make myself if I wanted... the push rods and a-arms are the problem. This is a very tough call I need so little of the slayer to make me e-slayer... yet I maybe better off buying one, grabbing my needs and parting the rest on ebay myself. I'm really on edge, I was hoping to have this together about the same time as the slayer release.

This is way cool!
I am thinking of building an electric 1/8 scale 4 wheel drive offroad truggy around the Monster max 2700KV motor/ esc combo. I really like the E-revo,
but I just don't know how it would handle vs the Nitro truggies at my local track.
Have you ever taken your E-revo to a track and see how she handles vs. 1/8 scale trucks?
My goal is be quiet and smoke those nitro guys. I still haven't figured out which truck to go with. I need speed and handling and to be able to jump at high speed. By high speed I mean 50-60 Mph.
I would love some feedback for owners like you.
Thanks

My erevo w/ the neu 1515 1.5d and 4s setup is faster than every truggy on the track.. if that were all that mattered I would be winning every race!! LOL the e-revo brushless is more than capable of running and beating all truggies out there. I race every week with the truggies and it's a non-issue, the only trucks that beat me are the better drivers.

PS here is the e-slayer proj in it's current form.

Mod #1 Nerf Bars!

Parts

Slash Nerf Bars #5823 3.89
4 - 3x10mm screws and nuts

Tools

Dremel
3/32 drill bit

HOW TO
Take your dremel and cut away slots on both battery doors in the same centered location on both taking great care with this portion. Cut away the two outside mounting tabs on both nerf bars, leave the center as this is what you will slide into the slot you made on the battery covers. Once you slide the nerf bar clip into the battery tray take care and line up two drill holes using a 3/32 drill bit and then screw down your 3x10 screws and nuts.

Save your money it sucks! I just got done putting my slayer back together and my e-revo is still in three pieces. The slash and or slayer body tire cut outs don't fit the wheel base, you would have to cut the back tail light and side area off. I ran mine with the e-revo body, revo2.5 F&R bumpers, slayer shocks and springs and e-revo wing. Veered left during heavy acceleration. Rolled often.

Why spend money ruin a slayer..when you could just buy the E-revo and a slayer body...same car..

the wheelbase on the slayer is shorter than the e-revo

yeh but i think the sc8 body would fit really nice with the e-revo rollin slayer arms and tires. bet you could also get away with single vxl...
