We bought our Slash Saturday afternoon knowing the first action it would see is the track the next morning. While we like racing our 1/10 mod RCM Rustler, we LOOOOVE racing this Slash!!!!!!
Here's a few pics from the heats:

I'm thinking we'll go to one of the other nearby tracks to race it, because I don't think I can wait two weeks to race the Slash again!

Great pics. I love watching all the race video's on youtube. I'm guessing with 10 truck in one race quite a few people will be using Spektrums?

Everyone is "supposed" to be running stock, 'out-of-box' setups. The only changes allowed are spur/pinion gearing, and receiver. You're allowed to run 6 cell or 2S lipo. The track leadership didn't do inspections though, and there were about 5 trucks that clearly had WAY more power then everyone else. These guys could clear this big double without issue, while no one else could. I over heard one person admitting to using a racing 7 cell.
It was still a blast, but the underlying vibe amongst us purists with integrity was kind of a drag. Some of the younger men (word "men" used loosely here) think it's funny to cheat. Guess honor means little these days. Some were joking about how we know the boards for the Slash races at our track are going to be heated over the next two weeks. LOL!
At the end of the day, we were all laughing and joking though. That's what it's all about.

Very nice. Isnt the truck simply a BLAST to drive? We had our first spec class race two weeks ago. It was totally fun fun fun.

That's kind of a downer they didn't check out everyone's truck...
It would have been nice to have everyone running 6 cells or 7 cells...
oh well...
hopefully this was not a sanctioned event where points were awarded or other awards were given?
if it was just for fun then no biggie...

Well clearly those on 7cell knew they couldn't drive
Still sounds like it was really good fun. I just wish there was a track somewhere near me, and at least 5 other Slash owners. I want one, but it's not much fun if you can't race it.

Great pictures, thanks for sharing. Especially the two in the air that looked like they barely missed each other.

Nice pictures, looks like alot of fun. Man, i like the paint job on that green slash, looks sweet. I guess people with custom paint jobs had to paint on the outside of the body right? Because I don't think that they have clear pro-graphix. Anyways, cool stuff, keep them coming.

Great photos also. I just hope that Slash racing takes off here in the UK.

You can lightly sand blast the inside of the shell, and use some solvent. That's what folks are doing here anyway.
