Hello,
I am looking into re building my pc so i can run newer games, i am looking to keep the the price under $350. I already got a m-atx case, 500 watt psu, hd, dvd drive, and mem card reader. I want to build one based off a multi core amd cpu, and looking to have 4 gigs of ram and a decent video card .
If any one can help in choosing parts and building tips i greatly would appreciate it :D

I think you should just wait and save up 700-1200 bucks. I think this would be considered an upgrade more than "Building" a new PC. 350 is also a short budget to work from for a cpu, ram, and video card.
Also, AMD has started disappointing everyone. Intel is far superior to AMD now. And as far to value, Intel is a much better value.
Edit (I can help you out if you want, but with your budget I don't think there would be much of a difference as far as performance wise)

well at the moment i just got a basic setup p4 631 ht 3.0ghz, 2 gigs of ram, 7300gt video card, im not looking for serious gaming but a directX 10 machine thats has decent performance and personally i like amd much better than intel for price and 64 bit support and i was just on new egg looking at some of the brisbane series processors and the prices aren't bad at all for them compared to something equivalent from intel

8800GT OC by BFG for the video card, great for DX10. But don't expect outstanding results on crysis with the setup that you'd be looking at.
If you have have 4 slots, add 2 of the same speed(As the other ones you have) 512Mb's (For dual-channel) to add up to 1gig. (Or do you have 64 bit? In which case than pick up 2X1 gig sticks.)
(Do you have vista?)
Also, you can't get an AMD processor. You have a intel chip, which means the mobo is for intels.

I think you MIGHT have problems with it maybe.... You have a 500w and the card needs 425w. Add up you processor, HDD, Optical drives, and you'll be just barely making it.

i might consider that but here is the current setup im looking at on new egg that i can probably afford
mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813141011
cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103212
ram: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820161030
video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150304
(just to let u kno the video card power requirements include an average pc setup factored in with the video card)
You're not going to have issue with 64-bit support with Intel. rusty is right. I have no brand loyalty, but Intel is definitely the right way to go for mid-range cards on up - faster for the money, lower power consumption, and better overclocking potential. The Phenom processors haven't provided competition for the Intel Wolfdales, and it'll be at least 18 months before AND releases its next lineup (meanwhile, Intel will have the new Nehalem in winter).
AMD is still competitive for budget (>$50-60ish) chips, though.

The only problem i have with intel though is pricing and i have alwayss had trouble with my intel setups but never had a prob with my amd ones i honestly dont know why but either way i go i gotta get a new mobo and cpu cause my current ones are on thier last leg after a power surge a couple weeks ago.
But i really cant budjet any more than $400 but wanna keep it under $350 cause i gotta buy all this and im only 14 and dont have a job yet.
