So I got a new Slash at the LHS last Friday. I've never had an RC but have a huge retention area behind the house to run it. This thing is awesome and rips. It was the last in stock out of 9 ordered.

Well, it never tracked perfect out of the box but I used trim or just steering bumps to correct that. I hit the curbs, rocks, and other crap over the last few days. But suddenly last nigh *** just went crazy. Now it really doesn't track straight. It makes hard right turns as soon as it gets up to speed.

I know nothing about setting the geometry on these things. I adjusted the toe, the camber, tinkered and played to no avail. I am sure its all out whack now. I am tempted to run by the shop for a quick "lesson" on setup. Hopefully, they'll be cool.

But what could I have done to make it get out of alignment so quickly? And what else should I know about for maintenance and adjustment? I love the thing and want it to last awhile. But man, does it already looked scraped and battered. I've played everyday since I bought it. But since it plastic, I guess thats to be expected.

Check your servo saver and also bell crank linkage. Also check for bent connecting rods. Carefully look over the car from all views to notice anything that might be bent or knocked out of alignment.

I saw a post from someone else in another thread that mentioned the bell crank. I didn't pull the skidplate but looks like I'll have to. The linkage arm looked good and I didn't see any bent shocks or connecting rods. Guess I need to pull everything apart and adjust.

Got the issue worked out. I basically realigned the whole suspension and tweaked the servo linkage length. Its not perfect but needs very little trim or bump steer now.

Go with a Kimbrough servo saver, it should solve the problem.
