What about the best Nimh pack be for about $50-$60? It has to be compatable with a superbrain 959 and the slash. I desided to get a slash instead of an erevo, because the erevo is just to much, beinh 450 then geting a dual charger and 2 battary packs. And does the XL5 support 8 cells?

Thanks

And yes, the xl5 will handle 8 cells. Those batteries have the traxxas high current connectors already on them and will be compatible with the superbrain.

Maxxamps has some of the best batteries available and should be close to that price range...... the XL-5 will work with 8 cells, but the titan motor is designed to handle 7cells max... you can run it, it just wont last long.

I was actually thinking of buying those 4600 battery packs from tower, does anybody have any idea of the run times you could get running a stock Titan and 7 cell 4600 batts in a Slash?

I use the Trinity Reference 6 cell in my Traxxas Stampede and get 20-25 minutes of run time.
