Just thought it was worth mentioning...

For those that complained about the E-Revo being $450, it's now $490 on Tower. Glad I got my pre-order in when it was $450.

OUCH! I'm sure the price will drop once they receive it or they will offer some coupon code 40-50 off...

They raised the slash by $10 also. They must be coming out with new coupons......

New coupons usually aren't available until the 1st of each month. Last month's coupon codes were much better than this month's codes. I saved $30 on a Slash Pre-order and $40 on an E-Revo Pre-Order last month.

Actually, you pay the price the item was at when you pre-ordered it. If it was pre-ordered at $449, that's what you pay, not $489.

I was told by tower unless there is a very large increase the price will be the same that you preorder for

And now, what is a ''very large increase'' for them? 10$, 15$, 50$ ?!
it's sad but i think we will have to pay 290$ like everybody else my
friend :(

I just got off the phone with Tower about a related issue...I specified a channel and while the E-Revo shows "Mid-June" when you look at your backorders, mine shows "Order Pending". They explained that because I specified a channel, they don't know when I would get mine. I don't know if I made a wise decision or not...what color/channel, if any, did you guys choose?

More importantly, I noticed the price change, and she confirmed that I would only pay the amount that I pre-ordered at, not the current price.

I picked the first available frequency. I wanted black, but more importantly, I wanted it fast. :)

Dang, I wish it was still at $450. That was a price that my parents and I could work out. But $500 and not even brushless, I think I'm out. It is just to much money to work it. Unless I win the lottery or I get a great paying summer job I think I will be staying with my rustler.

It'll go back down, watch and see. Besides, Tower is just one site. There's alot of other fish in the sea.

That is true. I will be waiting until the middle of summer before I make my final choice though.

I hope that it says like that, or maybe a little lower.

$425 I would do, at the very most. Otherwise, i'll have to go with an E-Maxx.

Yah, maybe if it drops to 400$ I will buy it, otherwise I will just supe up my rusty. 450$ for a brushed MT, who do you think we are traxxas? (but dang, that thing is cool)

I don't have to be the first buyer. I will wait a month or 2 and wait for the price to settle. Then I should be able to buy it.

i think charging 100 dollars more than the e-maxx is wayyyyy too much. if it had twin v's, i buy it in a minute but 450 for titans???

How many are going to wanna put in another 250-400 worth of electronics whether it's a MMM with an xl or neu or a twin v?....man...that's like an 800 truck.

I figure selling off the EVX and Titans on eBay should just about cover the cost of a MMM (paid $150 for the MMM shipped). The TQ radio will be ditched for a Spektrum micro Rx and I'll run the stock servos. So, I figure by the time I buy a motor (likely a Neu 1515/1Y), I'll have about $750 into it not counting my batteries.

By the time I finished my E-Maxx I was way over a $1,000 so $800 for a Revo is a much better deal. Actualy since I already have the elctronic from the Maxx I am closer to $600. So a Revo (much better truck) for about half the cost of my E-Maxx? I am good to go!
