what would be better to run in an HV Maxx 6.5 7cell NiMh batterys or a 4s lipo

4s lipo, provided you get good ones, and an LVC.

ok thanks i wasn't sure because two 7cell packs are 16.8v and a 4s lipo is 14.4v

two good seven cells will be better and cheaper than than a 4s lipo.
