I know they are selling the thing as an electric now, but I am still going to convert this one.

so, my choices for running gear are either the stock trans that has a FOC on it, or to run an E-maxx trans. should i run the e-maxx with a 2 peed set up? Who has done these? Just wondering about pros and cons of both. will the E-maxx trans bolt right in? thanks in advance

Really with brushless torque you don't need a 2speed like you did w/ the nitro's or brushed motors as long as you have decent batteries. The emax 3905 tranny is "brushless ready" and not that hard to mount IMO. If you are getting a new 3.3 roller sell off all the nitro stuff on ebay and it will pay for a lot of the conversion.

Do a search for "erevo revolt" and you will find my how to thread w/ lots of pictures.

Quick question HotRodRedNeck, where did you get the battery trays for your conversion?

i didnt yet....the chassis I have is the revo 2.5 not the 3.3. got the roller, with trans that has a foc on it. looking at selling it or trading it for an e-maxx trans. seems to me that that would be the cheaper rout to go too. 1 less servo to get, and all. thanks for the info, will look up that thread now

Why not just keep the stock tranny, that's what most people converting do now. www.rc-monster.com has a motor mount that works with the stock tranny, and tekno has a nice battery tray and esc mount.

i am not completely sure what i am going to do yet. the tekno kit is expensive, but i guess so is getting a new tranny and drive shafts.

I wouldn't go with the whole tekno kit, just the battery and ESC trays and use the rc-monster motor mount.

ESC mount-$25.00 although you can easily make your own cheaper
Battery Tray-$20.00
RC-Monster Motor Mount-$60.00
Pinion-$14.00

Not really anymore cost and you don't have to mod the chassis and the tranny outputs will line up straight with the diffs.

Battery trays 15-30 depending on where you buy them..
3905 tranny 60-100.00
3905 center shaft 4.49 or so
3905 Rx box ? never looked it up

A little dremel work :)

Sell all the nitro parts on ebay to bring the costs down more.
