has that name been used? There is a rustler, stampede, bandit. Where's the Wrangler? Traxxas seemed to have a theme with lectros, wild west I guess.
Oh, and what the heck is a Jato? What does it mean?

Lol, never noticed that about their names... I believe Jato stands for Jet Assisted Take Off.

There may be copyright issues with Wrangler since it's used by Jeep. I don't know for sure, though.

Hard to say, jeans, tires, jeep, all use it. But wouldn't it sound better than Slash!? And it fits into the western thing, it sounds tough! Slash sounds fast but I doubt it is, looks heavy. It should have a name that makes sense, it is a desert type truck right?

.... not to mention the villian, another name they could use is vigilante.
They could have called it anything other than Slash. I just don't like the name. It is a cool word, but not as the name of an RC car.
Just off the top of my head I could think of some (arguably) better names than Slash.
Duster
Ripper
Viper
Diamondback
Mojave
Jackrabbit
Coyote
Blade
pig
cow
horse
old mcdonald
ronald mcdonald
Carls' Jr.
Wendy's
Taco Bell
Burrito
Tostada
Chalupa
Hotsause
Tobasco
fire
Flame
Cuddly care bears
tickle me elmo
See? Any one of those is better than slash.

Hungry? You had about two decent names, the others were food or food providers, vehicles, or "adult paraphernalia" to keep it rated G. Amusing list, by the way.
Why question the name? I wasn't allured to the Rustler because that's the coolest name. Reputation, reputation, reputation. As well as part availability.
Frankly the name Slash is just fine, and Jeep won't be ******. That, and with the fact that it is supposed to be a RC version of a CORR truck, well, non of them are Jeeps.

The name sounds pretty good to me. Why use one that is already taken, be original.

Interesting that you mention that. Back in the 80s Jaco made a quarter-scale called the Jac-Rabbit. :)
