don't write it off that quickly. at least give it a spin around the local ball diamond before you decide not to buy one

It would be nice if it was AWD. The CORR trucks are so it should be. I guess it would be kinda heavy if it was though.

... The CORR trucks are so it should be...Some of them are 2wd, and those are the ones that the Slash is modeled after.
Personally, I like 2wd for its simplicity. You've got fewer moving parts, fewer parts to wear out (like output yokes, etc.), etc.

i also like the 2wd because it makes it lighter and more of a challenge to drive around a slippery corner.

i also agree for pretty much the same reasons. we dont need 4wd when the truck makes up for it in all out performance.

You ever they and drive on a hard packed clay course?
2 wheel drive just doesn't cut it. I find all my rusty does is spin the tires a lot.
With 4 wheel drive you could much more easily navigate the turns.
If you have a Slash with 2 wheel drive and one with 4 wheel drive, I would bet the 4 wheel drive would win every time.

i wouldnt say 2wd's are not fun. i took my emaxx to 2wd to hopefully get the neu motor to pull the front wheels up off the ground. as far as spinning the tires even a 4wd wil ldo that. i am guessing that you dont know if you hti the throttle too hard you spin the tires easily. and if you have the right tires on you get more grip. if you have crossed the slash off then by all means feel free to go to another part of the forums. but be warned alot of us also visit other areas.

you can't compare 2wd to 4wd...different driving styles....a lot more powersliding with 2wd systems...that's part of the fun!

I like the lightness of 2wd, along with the simplicity and fun factor. Just comparing the EMaxx and Rustler, the Maxx, is big and heavy, almost cumbersome but because it has 4wd it can o to alot of places where the rustler can't. But if you want fast fun, and a quicker handling truck, the rustler is better.
My Maxx's powerslide quite well, but not compared to a VXL Rustler. I think it takes more skill to drive a 2wd quickly.
