There is probaly a group of owners now Im not sure who they are though you should try emailing traxxas. I have wondered about the music to and I dont now that either.

The company history says;
" Traxxas was started in 1986 with an idea for what was at that time an entirely new concept for a fully assembled, hobby-class R/C car."

It is also listed as a private, not publically traded, company so the easiest thing to do would be to e-mail Traxxas and ask.
