Yeah, it's true. The beast is coming back, and it's gonna rock. I can't wait to get it running again.

Basically, here's the deal though:

I've recently become interested in driving my Jato 2.5 again, and I can't wait too. When I went and charged that battery and everything, it worked fine, and started up without a hitch.

1) The gas I used is old 10% or 20% (not sure which), but the lid was on. Is it still fine to use?

Anyways, after starting it, I took some real slow laps, and noticed, that there wasn't any smoke. Now keep in mind, this car has been sitting all alone, in my basement for about a year now, unused.

Do I need to re-tune the engine, or get better gas? Or is it fine.

I'll post again, after I can drive it a bit longer, and see if there's any smoke. I remember I heard somewhere, that there should be.

Get some new traxxas 20% fuel for starters. If the carb settings haven't been changed from stock settings you should be ok. If it doesn't have a smoke trail go back to all stock settings on the carb and retune in small increment's.

when the fuel is bad it will put out a lot of smoke and not run good no matter how well its tuned, acts like its running too ruch with such a high 2-stroke oil ratio and it stalls easy.
The stock settings are in the manual if you have it (dont remember what they are) but if the stock settings are pretty different than what got it started before then just tune from where it was at

So the general idea is get some new fuel, if it's bad, and richen the needles?

I did drive this car for about 5 or so months before it got retired, and i haven't touched the needles since, so I would've though it would be fine. It was tuned slightly rich before, so that it would last longer.

Thanks folks, just one more question though.... Which needle would I need to richen, and how would I go about retuning it?
