i want a .21 in it, will this fit?
.21 3 Port Rear Exhaust w/ Recoil Starter
Output: 2.00 HP @ 28,000 RPM
Uses: Fits most buggies and trucks from Kyosho, OFNA, Thunder Tiger, etc.
if not, what .21 will "drop right in" with little or no mods?

i dont think they make .21s that will drop right in a nitro rustler

What make is it?
Either way you will have to remove your stock motor mounts
and buy new ones to fit the engine your getting and drilling
new holes in correct areas for the new mount.
P.S you dont need a .21 to get more HP or rpm,
rule of thumb is the bigger the engine the less rpm but
greater HP in most cases.
If you want a really good engine to boost your rustler
consider the Fantom Engines.

U might beable to get it in u should have a dremel tool to grind and some weight upfront to keep the tires on the groundand also to steer
You can get an RTR Schumacher .21 X treme (http://www.racing-cars.com/xtdesertstormR.asp) cheaper than buying the parts that it would take to build a .21 powered Rustler.
If you were to put a good .21 in a Rustler everything else would have to be beefed up to match the power out put of the engine.

exactly les , the nr transmission isnt made for the power of a .21 if u did put it in chances are u would trash your transmissin after a few tanks but if u try it and it works try to post some pics and stuff like that for us ,good luck

I wount say much, Yes get the truck they suggest.
Good luck with parts when something breaks.
I have had my .21 in now for almost 3 months and i ride
it every weekend on Saturdays and Sundays for 4 hours
dont underestimate the traxxas tranny.
