i just got a job today at my local hobbytownusa. thing is after getting hired i now have to fill out an application. the people at the store came up to me and offered me a job. i did not approach them about a job. i start this coming sunday.

Hey Malibu! Welcome to the team!! That's EXACTLY how I got hired! I started in January. Strictly to fund the play account! I was in there so much, the owner said, "Why don't you just work here?" Uuhh O.K.!! :cool:

I have been thinking about a part time job at my LHS as well. Not only because I could use all the money for rc, but because they give a sweet employee discount, and will let you have a charge account and take payments out of your paycheck....I'd just tell them to keep my whole paycheck...otherwise the bill would go up faster than down.
Just don't know if I wanna lose my saturday to go work 8 hours.

The cool thing I have going is that I work 4am to 12:30pm, and every other weekend at my "real" job, and I only work at the hobby shop from 1pm to whenever on days I'm already working and I don't work there on my weekends off. All it does is make some of my days a little longer. Since my wife doesn't get home till 5pm or so she hardly even notices me having another job. It works out perfect!! Instead of coming home and tinkering with my rc's some days I do the same thing at Hobbytown and get paid for it!:lol:
