Alot of you guys know what I do for a living. For the most part, I love my job. That is except on days like this. See, today is my wedding anniversary. And I'm 1200 miles from home :( . I really should be home today, taking the wife out for on elegant dinner for two  . But, instead, I'm stuck in Bridgeport, CT. Another show in another town. I got myself a real, real good woman at home. Takes one to put up with this job. So, to all you married guys, don't take your anniversary for granted. Believe me, it stinks not being there to celebrate. :(

Happy Anniversary anyways buddy. How many years does this make?

That really stinks man. I know how you feel though. When I was working construction. We had a 4 month long job to do in Maine. It just happen to start in July and our anniversary is in August. So needless to say I missed it.

Thanks guys. This makes 3 years. I've missed lots of holidays and birthdays, but missing my anniversary really stinks.

I'm not with a "band" right now, picco. Ever heard of a tv show called "So You Think You Can Dance"? Well, I'm touring with them right now. It's the finalists and winner from last season.

Not quite. I drive tour buses, mostly for rock bands. But I'm on tour now with sytycd. I've got the guy dancers on my bus though.

I usually, and prefer to, drive the crews on the tour. But I have toured with The Who, ZZ Top, Velvet Revolver (drove Duff and Slash), Jimmy Buffet, Coldplay, and others.

your job is alot like my uncles, he drives a tractor trailer across the country to the desert in cali, drops of his load and comes back. but his loads are always secret military stuff, so drives out, drops it and never knows what it is.

Hey Mud,
Happy Anniversary. Yeah being on the open road has it's drawbacks. It does take a special person to deal with it. It makes me think of our military folks who are not at home and missing all that familiy stuff.

I was in the Navy for 5 years, I completely understand that feeling. When you get home, have some flowers with you, maybe pick up something while on the road for the special lady so she knows you have been thinking about her. Celebrate that Aniversery like there's no tomorrow when you get home. It's not exactly the same I know but it's the best you can do with what you have.

All the best to the family and again Congrats dude!

A good job would let you be home with your family when needed. Simply put, get another job before you need another wife. Good luck!
