Well although I have not run mine yet, maybe tomorrow or Saturday, the owners manual says "Other than the air filter, the carburetor shoul not require any regular maintenance. Occasionally brush off any accumulated dirt. Do not attemt to adjust the carburetor's fuel mixture screws. They are preset at the factory at their optimum setting" This is one of the many reasons why I purchased a MB. You do not have to chase the optimum tune with these gas engines. The fuel:oil mixture is 25:1, or 5.1 ounces per gallon. Worth the money, so far I think so. You can spend just as much or even more for a top of the line 1/8th scale buggy, or a T-Maxx. How fast? I do not know. I suppose around 35+ stock. Someone else here will surely have a much better answer. I have used this engine before in other toys and it's rock solid.

Well, not to really argue with the manual, but I have had to slightly adjust the high end mixture screw as it broke in,, but in the last 7 months,, it's been left as is.
Yes, at least mine is a 2-3 pull and drive away type of thing,, God I wish nitro was this easy,,,
Speed?? Well I've outrun a few /8th scale buggies out here,, about 40+ mph. While that doesn't sound as cool as maybe 50 for the 4-Tech, when you see something this big go that fast,, you really might not want it to go faster,,,,
