i have seen a lot of guys with the nitro vee and they have put a TRX 2.5 engine in it. i was woundering how hard it is and what all you have to do.

You will need a 2.5, the water cooling head, a new header and a new throttle setup. I personally would not do a 2.5 conversion. It is not a bad idea, but there are better motor choices that will drop in and produce more power and be cheaper. OS make a good .18 pullstart marine motor that will drop in and have good power

well i allready have an old 2.5 engine so i figured i could try it out. i was looking at it and the main thing i saw was the crankshaft and clutch assembly are different. does anybody know witch crankshaft you would use on the 2.5 to make it connect in the boat?

This here (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDDR3&P=7) should be all you need. The 2.5 you have most likely has the integrated pilot shaft, as where the pro 15 has the 2 piece crank. Remove the clutchbell from the pro 15 and compare the 2 side by side. With that flywheel nut and an e clip, the clutch assembly should transfer over.

hey i tried what you said but the clutches are different sizes and the flywheel from the .15 wont fit on the crank in the 2.5
