I had a Venom Fireball 15x2 motor laying around and decided to see how much punishment it will take to kill it.

Geared 13/86, I ran it through tall grass and tons of donuts on cement. So far I have only put 1 IB4200 7 cell pack through it, but it reached a peak temp of 252:eek:

Please keep in mind I know this will kill the motor, I just want to see how long it can hold out. The XL-5 ESC was surprisingly cool at only 117 degrees

how'd it get to 252? my titan on my rustler geared 23/86 will only get 90-120 with a 30 minute bash session.

Wow. At that heat I would guess two more packs before its on your desk as a paper clip holder. :)

You're magnets have probably lost some magnetism at that high of a temp!

He's taking the temp of the motor. See the screw in the rear of the tranny case sticking out?
