hi guys got a few q's for ya. i decided to re-do the shocks on my sledge today so that the rear wasn't so stiff and as i was working i noticed a few things:
the caps don't have the bracket-things on them like the newer shocks do. anyone know when they changed them?
the o-rings aren't the x-style like they are now. they're the plain donut-type. anyone know when they changed that?
the diaphrams are smaller than they are today - they look like the same size that come with the pro-series aluminum shocks now. my guess is that they didn't seal too well (judging by my shocks being covered in oil when i got it) so they increased the surface area.
the shocks didn't originally come on the truck (razer stuck them on there for me since it's harder to rebuild the old-style shocks that came on the sledge with the c-clips) so i'm not sure what era they're from, but if anyone has any answers i'd love to hear them. it's that little stuff that comes up in convos sometimes up at the track and i'd love to know :) haha.
