the 2 screws that hold the back shock tower on keep stripping do you have the same problem this is going to be the second time i take it apart all the gears and gear box and put it all back together it take some man hours to make sure it is all correct :( :unsure: :wacko:

try using a longer screw so there is more contact patch...

Bro you wanna get a stainless screw set. I just got one and it has enough screws to rebuild the jato twice over, they never strip.

Why would you have to take the trans apart? i loosten my 2 screws and i pull back and up at the ame time and it pops off.. took me 2 min to put my aluminum one on.

+1 You must be doing something wrong if you have to go through all that work to change your shock tower.

I got it off eBay UK. Search for 'Jato' and you'll see the screw sets, he may ship internationally.
I don't think you can buy screw sets anywhere else or in model shops over here.

no no no i strip the gear box threds not the screws and my new aluminume shock tower comes with screws and i cant use the stock ones

You do not want stainless. Stainless screws are very soft. Stainless is softer than regular hardened screws.
Tony's Screws (https://www.tonysscrews.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=153&categoryId=2) JATO screw kit. That is what you want, 12.9 Grade Alloy Steel. :cool:

Titanium is strong and ligh, but softer than 12.9 Grade Alloy Steel.
