Gearing down question

I'm getting my brother a set of moabs all around for his duratrax nitro evader st witha osa .18 dtx engine. When these tires are place on jatos everybody starts talking about gearing down. what is that and whill i have to buy new parts for my brothers truck. I have no idea what theese are and really what to do. If any body know plese post it and all links would be apreated

The easiest way would be to use a larger spur gear. I don't think they make one for the evader st, though. So you might have to find a smaller clutch bell housing gear. And who knows, that engine may turn those moabs with some aggression with stock gearing.

hanks for your help i'm going to one of my lhs soon so i'll ask, I thiki'm going to see if the engine can turn them. Mabye if i oil them freqently i cans tay stock. If the engine has trouble it just has a bad low speed right and the same high speed right
