charging batteries while still in truck

Is this okay to do? My new promatch 7-cell GP 3300 packs are a pretty tight fit in my E. I'm afraid that if I keep taking them out and putting them back in, I'll do some damage to them (bending a batt bar, unsoldering some connection, etc.).

I do it if I'm not planning on changing batteries, or working on the truck while charging.

Thanks RCDad...I would of course wait for them to thoroughly cool before charging them. :)

I do all the time for the first run (cool batteries) Why bother takin em out when I'm gonna put em right back in? I did put longer wires on my charger to make it easier.

BTW - How does your truck run on the promatch 7 cells? Is your drivetrain stock?

It is good to run them warm right off the charger if you want maxx performance. If not the longer they sit the flatter they will be.

Although not recommended (maybe in the event of an overcharge/fire/ect. ) I charge most all my batts in the truck. They are mostly dedicated to each chassis and "stuck" in there.

The only tihng about charging thme in the truck, is you want to let the batts cool before you start the charge, if I'm all done for the day, I leave the pair in the truck, and have them as the next or last batteries I charge. Typicly if I've just gone out for one run, I leave it in, if I find I still want to go play a second time, then I'll charge them outside and put in a fresh pack.

I enjoy modifying and working on my truck, finding how different bodies act, etc, its something that is fun to me, so I get an idea, change the truck, and go for a quick run, change it back, compare, see which I liked better.
