View Full Version : Why the unusual pre-release?
Wrong Turn

Was the info about the JATO leaked out unintentionally, or was it to "stir the water" and see how many people would be interested in the truck and get publicity?

Considering it's slated for an April release, I doubt it was for attention. April is to close to judge reaction, make a decision, ramp up production, and then bring them to the states.
I don't feel it was unintentional either. Merely just a different approach at getting the information out.

Yeah, nobody knew about the Revo until the day Traxxas announced it on their homepage. I think Traxxas just wanted to get a bit more hype going and create a curiosity and want for knowledge about the truck.

I would rather have it done this way then say the Cen Genesis. They let ppl know about it for a year or more. That would be like doing a month long ebay auction. Totally pointless.

did the genesis ever come out?
I think they did it this way to see how many people would like it, and if no one liked it, just claim its an april fools joke :p

Maybe you're right.
I guess we'll have to wait for a Traxxas sales person to answer this.

Well I heard it was an april fools joke too, it would really stink if it was! I wish traxxas would tell us about the Jato when they started shipping them, not 6 months before they are released!
