I just replaced the fuel tank in my nearly new Rustler. It was cracked and I had no fuel pressure. Now I try to prime the carb and I get no fuel delivery to the carb. I pull the line and get fuel out when I prime it. Should there be a vacuum at the carb? What I mean is does the carb draw fuel into the combustion chamber? Could I possible have a plugged carb on a Trcuk that just has 4 tanks run through it? HELP!!

Make sure that your gas tank lid is closed, also check your tank o-ring. Are you running to rich? Are you priming your exhaust? Also, make sure there are not cuts in your fuel line, and make sure that they are not plugged incorrectly.

I think you might have a little grit on the intake of the carb. Thats what was wrong with my pro 15. Took a small allen wrench stuck it in the intake , cleaned it out. I installed a fuel filter and haven't had any problems since.

WHOOO slow down there on sticking an allan wrench down the carb...

have you broken the truck in properly? If not you may have allready lost compression (causing it not to prime)

do you hold you finger over the stinger when priming it?

If the Fuel tank is cracked it wont get sufficiant backpressure. Make sure there are no punctures in the tank or the fuel lines. NEVER stick a wrench or anything else in the carb u could damage the needles in the carb causeing it not to run right. After 4 tanks of fuel u should have enough compression which has nothing to do with fuel entering the combustion chamber . Make sure there is no exhaust leaks anywhere. Check the fuel line nipples . They might have some dirt in there keeping air from entering.

I didn't explain myself very good on this one. I didn't poke around inside the carb. When I removed the fuel line there was gunk inside the end(fuel nipple) that was restricting the flow of fuel. Sorry about the misinformation.:)
