nice work, I had some towers made as well.

They were made back in the summer when I was thinking about producing them in titanium and selling a run of them. Dont know why I didnt, I suppose I ran out of time when I moved back to Toronto. Anyway, cost was really cheap, I think more people should take the initiative and produce their own unique parts. Excellent work Taurus_Rustler; what did the set cost you?

I dug the materials out of a recycle bin and did all of the cutting with a hacksaw and the shaping with some files, I'll remove material later for weight(it's really thick and doesn't really do much of anything...)

it's just thin sheet aluminum, there's a piece of heat treated steel under the main part between the chassis braces and front of the bulkheads because that part NEEDS to be structural

This one is also made from a scrap pile. 1/4in plate aluminum and strong as steal.

I have a sheet of 1/8 stainless that I’m going to make front and rear bumpers.

My materials database is down currently but I am quite sure that titanium (we were going to use grade 5) is both stronger and lighter than Chromoly. I believe Titanium is almost half the weight by volume than Chromoly.

I made my parts from my dads large bench mill. And for you guys who are looking for Aluminem(sp) and other stock to work from go to this site http://mscdirect.com
you can find all kinds of metal at their site.
