I'd like to "harden" my rustler a bit to stand up to backyard bashing (stupid jumps, curbs<g>, etc.).

Is there a better front bumper for the truck (Seems like I broke the stock one off before I took it out of the box<g> )? I know ESC makes an AL one, but I read (below) that it bends quite easily.

How about a motor guard? Do they exists for rustlers?

Other suggestions?

they dont, and i doubt you will ever hit the motor. if you really wanted to, you could probably adapt a stealth tranny, that has a motor gaurd. that would be cool!

get an alum idler, cvds, a better metal gear servo (or any mg servo)

then get cvds and you should be set!

RPM makes a huge front bumber for the rustler, it looks kinda goofy, but is great for protection.

Bearings, Aluminum Shocks, GPM Racing (http://www.gpmracing.com) makes an aluminum bumper for the Rustler. Who is ESC? Do you mean ESP?

Get some RPM bearing carriers with 5X11 bearings, set up some adjustable camber links, get a good metal geared servo (i use a cirrus cs60 BBMG servo for 22 bucks) and maybe some cvd's. Other than that the stock truck is tough as nails. It really doesn't need anything other than a better servo to be durable.
