What's up guys...and gals. I just got the traxxas pipe (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXSP47) and was wondering if there were any tips for installation and possible re-tunig of the TRX 2.5 engine.

Yah the part where the rod from the lower chassis ataches to the tip of the blue pipe can strip easily with the supplied material. So if that does happen use a bigger screw and just smash it in there. It will stay in there forever and wont strip. :D

Unbreakable,

What did you use for the exhaust extender?

It's one of these.

I didn't have any problems with the screws, but the coupler that comes with it isn't very good, I would suggest using something else.

Yea, the blue pipe is great. It improves power all in all ranges. It made my Pro .15 do wheelies sometimes.

Unbreakable - I believe you have that screw in the wrong spot. The metal wire goes through the hole at the front end of the pipe and there should have been a very small screw with out a head on it. That little screw should be where you put that screw that is sticking out in your picture. The little screw gets adjusted/tightened with your small allen wrench. See my two pictures below:

Fangs, he has the screw in the same place as you. He's just saying it was easy to strip it for him so he put in a different and longer screw.

Ha ha, glad you get it, Fangs.

Yea, I always use my tires to prop up the N Rusty when I'm working on it! Works great.

Bwah ha ha! :D

More BLUE is always a good thing.

Overall, it's definatly worth it! A good job to Traxxas on the design and color! :)

lol fangs I put a bigger screw in there and tightened it down because the smaller one stripped. And I don't want to cut the screw unless I get a threader and I don't feel like doing that.
