mag. mayhem vs. XL-1 ?

greetings all, I'm new to this board and I've got a question or two. first off, is the XL-1 a decent controller for a magnetic mayhem? AND what gearing is best for runtime/power with a mag mayhem?

The XL_1 should work ok with the Magnetic Mayhem because i use a 17 turn Sapphire with mine. John
